The Kearns Open Summer League is sanctioned by USA Water Polo and is administered by the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center. It is held on Wednesday nights in June, July, and early August. The league is for adults, or high school juniors and seniors with at least two years experience. Its first year was 2004 and there were 68 participants playing on 6 co-ed teams. 2005 and 2006 saw big growth, expanding to separate male and female divisions with over 120 participants. 2007 jumped to 150 participants on eight male teams and four female teams! 2008 has 169 participants - 115 males on 10 teams and 56 females on four teams. The league has been set up through USA Water Polo's US Leagues system, so that players that only plan to play in this league can register with USWP for only $20 (needs to be paid to the league).
