The Kearns Youth League is for boys and girls entering the 3rd-12th grade. There are four divisions: 3rd-6th grade coed, 7th-9th grade coed, 9th-12th grade girls, and 9th-12th grade boys. The league is administered by the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center and is sanctioned by USA Water Polo through US Leagues. All games are played on Saturday mornings at Kearns, with some teams practicing at Kearns and some practicing at other facilities. Most players sign up on their own and are put onto teams, although some sign up through their local club/facility. Most of the teams use volunteer coaches. In 2008, the theme for the team names is Olympic players names. The league was first started in 2000 and has seen steady improvement. 2009 had 275 participants on 23 teams.
